June 5, 2008, Allied Caribbean to add chilled and frozen capabilities:
Allied Caribbean has begun construction of a new chilled and frozen section. This will now give Allied Caribbean Distribution the ability to offer its customers dry, chilled, and frozen products from one source. The benefit will be to our customers who incur higher costs to store frozen and chilled grocery products as well as improve turnaround time on new orders. The result will be to reduce inventory levels and cost of the energy to store the products. This will ultimately create savings for the customers who buy chilled and frozen products from Miami based Allied Caribbean.
May 1, 2008, Allied Caribbean moves to new facility:
With growth of business Allied Caribbean Distribution has enjoyed in recent years it became apparent that the company would outgrow its existing warehouse and office facility. In May of 2008, Allied Caribbean Distribution moved to a new facility in Doral (Miami), Florida. The expanded facility will give us the capability for faster turnaround of standard inventory items as well as being able to offer expanded consolidation for customers who purchase from Allied but do not fill a complete container.
